Hacking is the exploitation of vulnerabilities and gaps in computer or phone systems. Hackers can use this to steal data, spy on you/your contacts, install backdoors, and cause other malicious behaviour. Often, hackers are only interested in making money and will even publish embarrassing/sensitive information about you online to do so.

They can also infect your device or phone with a virus that makes the device slow and susceptible to errors or recording any conversations you have on it! These trojans are known as trojans redirected here and are often hidden in music files, photos, free games, toolbars and other apps. Another way that people get infected by trojans is when they click on the link to download a malicious file or open a file with malware in an email. Hackers are also able to locate unsecured websites and upload trojans to them to infect as many people as possible. Remote administration tools (RATs) are a brand new method of hacking. These programs give the attacker complete and complete control over the victim’s computer.

In movies hackers are skilled in figuring out passwords. However, in reality, they use malware to circumvent this. This could be a trojan that keeps the passwords you type in, or a piece software that allows the hacker to use the microphone on your phone to listen in on conversations.

The majority of successful hacking attempts begin with phishing emails/texts, which trick you into clicking on links or calling numbers. This could lead to fraudsters being granted full access to your phone/computer or your personal information, and it can be avoided by ensuring that you know who’s sending you a message prior to you click, call or download anything. Also, it is important to regularly upgrade your operating system and then scan or delete all attachments prior to downloading them.
